The Steak & Baconator Sandwich Recipe

I recently took part in the Black & Decker Ultimate Sandwich Contest through Mom Central Canada. My husband and I made a few sandwiches to test for the contest, and now that the contest is closed I thought it would be fun to share some of the other recipes we came up with. Today’s sandwich was created by Mike, and I called it the Steak & Baconator!

Here are his ingredients (also listed below).

To start, you need the following:

  • Italian bread (similar to sub bun size)
  • a 5 oz steak, grilled and sliced
  • Sliced tomato
  • 1/4 cup chopped cucumber
  • A few leafs of lettuce
  • Havarti Cheese
  • Bacon
  • Diana Marinade Steak Spice
  • Club House Montreal Steak Spice
  • Basil Pesto

Step One:

Marinate the steak in the Diana marinade for one hour. Mix Montreal steak spice to taste (about a teaspoon).

Step Two:

Butter and toast your bread.

Step Three:

Step four:

Step seven:

Step eight:

Broil the sandwich for about five minutes.

Your sandwich is finished! It looks and tastes great!

We had some family taste test our sandwiches and they couldn’t decide between this one and the Greek Wrap that I entered into the contest. They are both delicious, and even if we don’t win…we came up with some great new sandwich recipes!
