I started wearing glasses when I was in public school. I should say…I had my first glasses in public school. They only came out of the case when a teacher or parent told me I had to wear them. I didn’t like how I looked in my glasses and I didn’t like how they fit my face. Eventually, the desire to see won out over my vanity and by the time I was 20 I was wearing them full time.

I eventually replaced my eyeglasses with contact lenses. These have their own problems, especially when my allergies are acting up, but overall I prefer them. I can wear sunglasses and I don’t have glasses sliding off of my face. It is good to have some backup glasses though, because contacts can be easily lost or damaged.

Since my prescription glasses are essentially a back-up for me, I don’t want them to cost a fortune. It’s nice to have the option of buying glasses right at the optometrist, but the prices are so high. I have looked in department stores, but the selection is limited and I can’t usually find something I like.

At GlassesUSA you can find a selection of high quality frames and lenses, and they offer a 110% lowest price guarantee and a 100% satisfaction guarantee along with a generous refer-a-friend program. If I am going to order glasses online, I like to know there is a guarantee in place!
