There is a new granola bar on the market. Kraft Foods is changing how you view granola bars with their new MilkBite Milk and Granola Bars. Found in the refrigerated dairy aisle, MilkBite bars combines real milk with whole grain granola and nutritious ingredients like fruit and roasted nuts, all while giving you as much calcium as an 8 ounce glass of milk.

From Michelle Lorge, Senior Brand Manger for Kraft MilkBite, ‘With MilkBite, we saw an opportunity to change the status quo and introduce milk into snacking in a whole new way. By combining real milk and other wholesome ingredients, we designed MilkBite to help satisfy the demand for snack options that are better for you and also taste great’.

Kraft MilkBite Bars come in five delicious flavors like, Chocolate, Strawberry, Peanut Butter, Oatmeal Raisin, and Mixed Berry. Each bar contains 30% of the recommended daily value of calcium, and are also a good source of vitamin D and fiber. They also have 5 grams of protein, 7 grams of whole grains and do not contain any artificial flavors, colors or preservatives.

We had the opportunity to try out the new Kraft MilkBite Milk and Granola bars in each of the flavors. One thing I love about these is not only do I know we are all getting a healthy snack but I can even toss them in the freezer and then throw in my bag when we are going to be out. By the time anyone is ready for a snack they are thawed but still cool.

I have not found a flavor that I don’t like but I think the chocolate is my favorite. I am a chocolate addict of sorts so these are a great way to get all the chocolate taste without adding all the other stuff I don’t need. My kids love the Strawberry and the Oatmeal Raisin.

Because these are made with milk and are refrigerated, the texture is different from a traditional granola bar. They are softer and have an almost creamy texture to them. Being refrigerated they also make the perfect warmer day snack.

MilkBite Bars are found in the refrigerated dairy aisle and sell for a suggested retail price of $3.49.
