Every holiday needs a great movie, and now Easter has Hop!

Blending state-of-the-art animation with live action, HOP tells the comic tale of Fred (James Marsden), an out-of-work slacker who accidentally injures the Easter Bunny (voiced by Russel Brand) and must take him in as he recovers. As Fred struggles with the world’s worst houseguest, both will learn what it takes to finally grow up.

We all loved Despicable Me, so when we heard that they had created Hop, we knew we had to see it. It did not disappoint us! The story is cute…the future Easter Bunny is shirking the family business and his future career while he dreams of being a musician. He finds himself staying with Fred, who has never found the right career or direction for his own life, and the two end up being a great pair.

EB (Easter Bunny) was a cute and funny character, and the chicks (which reminded me of the minions from Despicable Me) were hilarious. I loved the music, and it was fun to see some well known actors in the movie, including Kaley Cuoco who plays Penny on the Big Bang Theory.

The kids really enjoyed the movie too. They especially like the musical number “I Want Candy” and the training scene. Take a look at this trailer…
