I can not bake. Seriously. I can cook a lot of great dishes, but ask me to bake some cookies and you will be in for some dry crunchy snacks, or mushy cookies with uncooked centers. I just can’t get it right. Since I can’t seem to master the simple baked goods, I rarely try anything more challenging like a pie. My husband is actually a great baker, and if we need something like a pie, he will usually do it. That is, until I found Easy Pie.

Easy Pie is a product by Tenderflake. In the kit, you get two crusts (one for the top and one for the bottom) and a spice mix. To make your pie, you simply cut up two cups of fresh fruit and mix it with the spices, put it in the pie crust and cover it with the other pie crust. I did the prep for this little apple pie in about 10 minutes. Then it baked for 25 minutes, and I had this…

It was perfect! My only complaint is the size of the pie. I would need to make two of them in order for everyone to get a slice, but it’s a perfect baking project for children or people who are baking impaired like me. It was delicious too! I am going to try making another one with a different kind of fruit. Any suggestions?
