I am very excited to announce that I am now a Nickelodeon Mom! This means I get to bring you lots of new and exciting toys that are related to some of the great Nickelodeon shows that our kids love to watch. I’m starting off this new adventure with a review of the LEGO SpongeBob Bikini Bottom Undersea Party Building Playset.
SpongeBob is throwing a huge party and everyone is invited! While Patrick is at the turntable spinning his favorite tunes and Squidward mans the juice bar, SpongeBob is getting silly by catapulting the party cake at Mrs. Puff!
The LEGO SpongeBob Bikini Bottom Undersea Party building playset features:
· 4 MiniFigures: SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward and Mrs. Puff
· Gary also included
· DJ table and speakers, merry-go-round, seesaw, and juice bar with ice cabinet
· SpongeBob’s house with ejecting bed function and Gary’s bowl
· Squidward’s house with music stand and art studio
We were so excited to get a chance to test two of my son’s favourite things: SpongeBob Squarepants and Lego! This unique Lego set arrived at our house a couple of weeks ago and we had to put it together that day. Griffin is always complaining that he has no lego characters of his own, so even though this set is for older kids, I let Griffin lay claim to the characters. He was so happy! He did agree to share them with everyone though, so the set could still be enjoyed by everyone.
Avery ended up doing the majority of the building. I was pretty impressed with how well she did! Of course, Mom and Dad had to do some of it too, but mainly because the kids were sidetracked by other things. Once it was built, we had fun setting up different party scenarios and taking pictures.
This set makes a great addition to your lego collection. The pieces and characters are original and fun for the kids, and it wasn’t too difficult to put together. I’m going to keep my eyes open for other Nickelodeon Lego sets!
The set is intended for children between the ages of 6 and 12, and Canadians can find the LEGO SpongeBob Bikini Bottom Undersea Party Building Playset at Toys’R’Us for $64.99.
Contest Closes July 27th, 2012.
