My son and I recently had the chance to visit Disneyland. I have been to Disney World a couple of times, but this was my first visit to Disneyland in California. I kind of expected it to be very similar to Disney World, and some things were the same, but there are a lot of differences too.
When you visit Disneyland, you are within walking distance to Downtown Disney, Disneyland and Disney California Adventures. We chose to go right to Disney California Adventures because we wanted to see Cars Land! We went right to the line for a fast pass to the Radiator Springs Racers ride, but unfortunately they ran out of passes before it got to us and the line was nearly two hours long, so rather than standing in line, we watched the ride and got some cool pictures of it. Next time, we will go on it! Cars Land has a lot more to offer than the Radiator Springs ride. They have done a phenomenal job bringing the animated Radiator Springs to life, and we even saw Tow Mater driving around the park!
After touring Route 66, we headed off to A Bug’s Land. In A Bug’s Land we save a fantastic show where we learned more about bugs and were surprised with some 4D experiences. There were some fun rides in A Bug’s Land too! We flew in some ladybugs and did some crashing in the bumper cars.
After some more fun in Disney Adventures California, we headed over to Disneyland. Kellen got brave and went on a small roller coaster before we made it to Paradise Pier. Here we went on the Mickey Wheel and saw Goody conduct a symphony with water spouts. That was spectacular! In Tomorrowland, we saw Darth Vader and Darth Maul battling Jedi Knights and we toured a futuristic house that Kellen really enjoys because it was complete with xBox games and several interactive features.
