I have been using Telus for my cell service for several years and I have always been happy with the services they provide. They have added a new great service to their lineup, the Emergency Profile.

Emergency Profile, in partnership with Canadian MedicAlert Foundation, is a secure online profile that allows individuals to organize all their medical information in one convenient place so they can prepare for a medical emergency.

Emergency Profile is found exclusively with Telus Health Space, and it is a completely free service. As a Mom to four, I really like that I can store all of our important medical information in one safe space in case we were to need it. I also like that I can input our emergency contacts so that if my husband and I were unable to relay that information, someone could reach them. You emergency profile is always available online (you can share it by emailing it to the people you choose), and can also be printed out and carried in your wallet or purse.

Emergency Profile is an integrated feature of TELUS health space®, a secure online data repository certified by Canada Health Infoway, and powered by Microsoft® HealthVault®. TELUS Health has had a long‐standing relationship with Canadian MedicAlert Foundation®, as an industry partner since the launch of TELUS health space®. Now, TELUS has expanded the partnership with Canadian MedicAlert Foundation®, the leader in emergency medical information services, to launch Emergency Profile.

Individuals can create their free Emergency Profile in a few easy steps:

1. Visit www.emergencyprofile.com
2. Click on “Get started”
3. Enter basic information
4. Enter health information and emergency contacts
5. Save information
6. View, print and share information

You can store information for all of your family members, and you can enter as little or as much as you wish. You can see the information that you may want to fill out below. This could be very useful for children attending daycare, summer camp or visiting family members!

Myhealthreference.com is a new and uniquely Canadian source for relevant, credible health information. Individuals will find future‐friendly tools and reviewed articles they need to care for their health in one convenient place. Myhealthreference.com is like an ounce of prevention to motivate and empower individuals and their loved ones to manage their health and wellness.

I like the service the most because I have a child living two hours away for college, and this way I can make sure that he has all of his important medical information on him at all times. As a young man enjoying his first apartment in a big city, I’m sure his last immunizations are not something he’s worrying about, and with Emergency Profile, he won’t need to know, he can just look it up.

Why would you use Emergency Profile?
