I am always looking for new ways to create healthy and tasty meals for my family. We are making a conscious effort to avoid artificial ingredients in our food, so I am careful about what I buy. That is why I like the new Club House Flavourful Recipe Mixes. With 25% less salt Gravy Mixes and Flavourful Recipe Mixes with no trans fat, no artificial colours or flavours and no added MSG, they are a great choice for my family.
I have been using Club House in my kitchen for years, so I knew that the new flavourful recipe mixes would be great and I was excited to try them. We received the following Flavourful Recipe Mixes:
- Tuscan Chicken
- Lemon Thyme Pork
- Hickory BBQ Ribs
- Lemon Ginger Beef Stir-fry
- Creamy Parmesan Chicken Penne
- Herbs de Provence Roasted Chicken
They all look and sound delicious, but I had some pork chops in the freezer that I wanted to use, so I decided to try the Lemon Thyme Pork first. The recipe calls for pork tenderloin, but I thought it would work well with my pork chops too. I brushed the chops with olive oil, poured the Club House mixture into a bowl and pressed the chops into the mixture on all sides until they were covered. It took a few minutes to prepare, and then they baked. It was a very easy meal to prepare!
One package covered 5 pork chops, and you can see above that they were well covered with spices. I really enjoyed the Lemon Thyme Pork, and my husband did too. I have picky kids, and they are pretty hard to impress. This wasn’t their favourite thing, but they did eat it so that’s something! I think they will like the Hickory BBQ Ribs more, so I plan to make those next week.
One of my readers can win a Club House Prize Pack, and a $50 Gift Card to get the ingredients you need to get cooking!
Contest closes October 12th, 2012.
