Last weekend, Disney Junior treated my family to an afternoon in Toronto at Disney On Ice: Worlds of Fantasy. We were really looking forward to the show and we headed out with twice the time usually needed to get to Toronto. Unfortunately, the traffic had other ideas and we arrived at the show just before the intermission…but that didn’t ruin it for us!

We were able to see a bit of the Tinkerbell portion of the show, where a beautiful Fairy Queen was hovering above the ice. After the intermission the show picked up with a rendition of Toy Story 3. My whole family loves this movie, and we loved the Disney on Ice version too. All of the characters were excellent, and I was really amused by the Ken and Barbie characters especially.

The show was full of special effects too, and it wouldn’t be a Disney production if it didn’t have Mickey and the gang…

What I love about Disney, in all of it’s forms, is the feeling of wonder and possibility that you get when you are at the parks or seeing a show or watching a movie. Disney does magic well, and that includes  the Disney Junior shows!

If you have a little girl who loves princesses, you will want to tune in to Cinderella, one of Disney’s timeless classics, on Disney Junior on Saturday January 19th at 5:45pm ET….right before the series premiere of Sofia the First! Sofia The First will air on Saturday, January 19th at 7pm ET! Sofia was a big hit in our house, and we are looking forward to the premiere, and another all-new episode on Sunday January 27th at 11:30am ET. Sundays at 11:30am ET will become the regular time slot for the new Sofia the First series!

The princess theme continues with Cinderella II: Dreams Come True which premieres on Sunday January 27th at 10:15am ET. We have never seen the Cinderella sequel, so I will be setting the DVR for sure!

And you can’t talk Disney magic without remembering Mickey. Disney’s Mickey Mouse Clubhouse “Mickey & Donald Have a Farm” will premiere Thursday, January 3rd at 1:00pm ET. That will be a fun show for sure!
