In the past twenty years, I’ve had a lot of “over” moments. I’ve been overjoyed with each new addition to our family, and a little overwhelmed too! I’ve watched the kids get over tired and over indulged (isn’t that what Grandparents are for?). I have helped them try things over and over again until they finally mastered them. I have celebrated with them when they are over the moon because of a birthday invitation or decent grade on a test.
There are so many moments to celebrate as mothers that I had a really hard time choosing which photo to share! I created a folder for my moments…and quickly realized I could come up with a million of them on my own. As my folder filled with more and more pictures, I spent more and more time mulling over the photos and enjoying the memories that go with each one. I think that is the real point of the whole project…to celebrate those special moments in life.
The collage at the top has some fun memories. Top left: Avery had a long day playing outside (that was promptly followed by a nap) and nothing could make her happy. She was just over it all. Top right: Griffin mastered feeding himself. Sort of. He had food all over the place! Bottom left: Kellen was over-excited when he went to his first NHL game, and Eric was being the annoying big brother in the background. Bottom right: My oldest and my youngest boys were over-tired and enjoyed a nap together.
I feel really blessed that my oldest son bonds with his younger siblings, because he is so much older than them. He was 15 years old when his youngest brother joined the family, and he was “won over” immediately. I love this picture because you can see how much they loved each other right from the beginning.
I really enjoyed looking through my old pictures and remembering my special moments. My cup runneth over!
