Times have changed. OHIP needs to change too. #OHIP4IVF #ONPOLI

Society has evolved over the years. We encourage post secondary education for both men and women, we establish careers later in life, get married later in life and as a result, have children later in life. For many couples this means it is harder to conceive. One in seven couples trying to conceive needs some medical support. With our changing society and values, it only makes sense for the government to also change how they’re doing things.

It is time for in vitro fertilization to be funded by the Ontario Government. Watch this video to really understand how times have changed.

Follow @OHIP4IVF on Twitter or the hashtag #OHIP4IVF to support government funding for IVF.

Makes sense. Im in a different province and wonder how it varies by location…
I just hope ‘when’ IVF funding is implemented we have strict rules to prevent ‘Octomom’ situations.

I agree, the government needs to step up! The government keeps taking things away and just adds higher and more taxes. Doesn’t our taxes pay for OHIP. I think IVF should absolutely be funded. Thanks for this video. Hopefully it will bring more awareness.

I’m not in Canada, but I agree that there should be something done to help couples concieve. I have never known anyone personally who has tried IVF, but I hear is majorly expensive and I don’t think that is very fair. I hope that something can be done about it.

I totally agree that IVF should be funded, but I’m not at all hopeful that that change will come soon enough.
