There are so many different things to discover at Disney World that it’s impossible to do them all in one visit. It’s actually impossible to do in a number of visits! We have our favourite things, like Splash Mountain at The Magic Kingdom, that we have done many times and we always look forward to doing them again, but this visit we decided to spend some time on things we haven’t done on previous visits. One of those things was character visits. We have had a chance to snap a photo of various characters in the past, and the kids have met some of their favourites, but this time we bought an autograph book and went out with the intention of meeting characters. That started with our runDisney weekend, where we each got to high five either Goofy or Pluto as we completed our races, and then we met up with Mickey for a quick picture.
I booked a fast pass for the new Princess Fairytale Hall and Avery had a chance to visit with Cinderella and Aurora, and later on she found her all time favourite Princess Merida and got both a picture and autograph from her.
Griffin really wanted to meet Lilo but we weren’t able to find her. He settled for the next best thing and had his picture taken with Stitch. He was terrified of Stitch not that long ago, so it was fun to see him get silly and enjoy his moment. He also got to meet Buzz Lightyear again, which he always enjoys.
We made a reservation at The Crystal Palace so that we could enjoy our first ever character lunch. This was a really fun experience where Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore all came to say hello and sign autographs at our table.
We spotted more Disney celebrities in the parks and grabbed some photos with them too. It was really fun to focus on meeting the characters during this trip at Disney. I know we made some great memories!
