Spring break is approaching fast and there is an endless list of possible vacation destinations where you could visit during the kids’ time off school.

Niagara falls both

If you don’t mind the cooler temperatures, there is no end of possibilities. Niagara Falls is always a popular destination and you can visit two countries in just a matter of minutes! On the Canadian side you can find entertainment in the form of wax museums and arcades on Clifton Hill. Head down to the Falls and take in the incredible views and learn about the incredible history in the area. Take a walk over the bridge and visit the American side of the Falls for unique views and to experience a blossoming community. A reasonable driving distance from Niagara Falls is Toronto, Ontario.

Toronto is a bustling city with exciting landmarks like the CN Tower and the SkyDome. You can stay at the Renaissance Toronto where if you have a room overlooking the field, you can watch a baseball game right from your room! If you prefer a water view, head to the Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto where you can watch the boats and the small planes come in over the lake. It is right downtown so you can walk to the Royal Ontario Museum or take in a show!

If outdoor activities like hiking and skiing are more your style, take a look at the Lakes of Wasaga. There is beautiful scenery and warm cottages where you can enjoy your family time together. Blue Mountain is another great destination for families who want to take on the slopes! People in driving distance of River Valley can enjoy a day of winter tubing followed by something to eat in the clubhouse. It’s a great way to enjoy the snow for a day trip.

For those of us who need a break from the snow, heading south may be a great option for spring break.  Florida has beautiful beaches, theme parks and sights to see. If you want to do some family camping and ziplining, head over to Adventures Unlimited in the Pensacola area. It will be a family trip to remember! You can never go wrong with a visit to Disney World. It will keep you busy all week and there is something that everyone in the family will love. If you want to visit more attractions in the Florida area, try booking a vacation home through Global Resort Homes. You will have a relaxing stay in a beautiful luxury home and you can take a drive to visit Legoland, Universal Studios, the Kennedy Space Center or any other of the numerous attractions in Central Florida.

Disneyland is your west coast magical option for spring break and it’s located in Southern California where you will also find Universal Studios Hollywood and Sea World. Check out the Hollywood sign and the Walk of Fame while you are there! Just a short drive away you can find beautiful Carlsbad. This is the perfect vacation spot for a relaxing beach vacation, and it is also the home of Legoland.

These are just a few of the spring break options that I have had the opportunity to visit. For more vacation ideas, check out the roundup on TakingtheKids.com.
