We love to get away, especially as a family, but we reserve our bigger trips for the off season. I am not a fan of crowded pools and long line ups and I want to enjoy my vacation, so I rarely travel during March Break. This year I took my youngest son on a trip to Albuquerque the week before March Break.
I always travel with an arsenal of medications. I prepare for everything! Cold medicine, vitamins, nausea medication, allergy pills, advil, eye drops…you name it, I have it! I have thankfully never been on a trip where I actually needed all of these meds, but I have often been on trips where I needed some of them. I would rather be prepared then be caught in unfamiliar surroundings and in need of something. This year I was able to add Orange Naturals Calm for Kids to my bag, just in case.
Calm for kids contains Chamomile and Linden, used throughout the ages to relieve upset stomachs and calm minds. Burping, bloating and gas are all soothed and sleep comes easily with these gentle flowers. Calm for kids also promotes a relaxing sedative state with no harmful effects. This herbal combination has long been recognized by doctors in France and Spain as a valuable medicine for the young. It is strong enough for adults, but gentle enough for children.
My trip to Albuquerque was a press trip, and it was the first time I was taking my youngest child on this particular type of press trip. I knew it was going to be busy and I needed him to be on his best behaviour. He is also a six year old boy, so I was worried. Packing Calm for kids helped me stay calm, because I knew I had some help if I needed it. Thankfully, Griffin seemed to understand what was expected of him and he did really well, so I didn’t need to give him any help.
We had a fantastic week. We went on a hot air balloon ride, rode a tram to the top of the Sandia Mountains, pet a baby rhino, fed some goats, learned to paint and sculpt and had lunch next to an aquarium full of sharks. It was incredible, and I’m thankful that we enjoyed good health and happiness the whole time.
