Saving time and money are huge priorities for many families and mine is no exception. I value tools that help me in those areas and the Flipp app is definitely one of those tools. Using the Flipp app I can browse my Walmart flyers and circle items I want to purchase, which adds them to my clippings so I can easily find them while shopping.
Last week I introduced my husband to the Flipp app and told him that we were heading to Walmart to spend $100 on Holiday purchases. In my mind this meant we would be taking advantage of the great savings on groceries and getting ready for our holiday meals. I created an extensive shopping list with my Flipp app and we headed to the store (please excuse the “expired” tags, the screenshots were taken after we shopped).
When we arrived at the store I found out that my husband had also made a shopping list on Flipp, only his items were not the same as mine. In fact, there was very little food on his list at all. He had found some great deals on Mattel board games, Timex watches, Xbox games and Blackweb speakers. While there were some things on my list that I really wanted, I was willing to follow his list for our $100 shop, because it’s always fun to buy gifts for people.
Mattel makes such great family games that we get a lot of use out of, and I know they will make everyone happy on Christmas morning. With Walmart’s Rollback prices on the games we were getting prices that we weren’t going to find another time so we decided on the Big Picture Apples to Apples for our kids and Mad Gab for the whole family. My husband dug through a huge bin of discounted games and chose an Xbox game for the boys. and a Blackweb speaker for himself. I indulged myself with a shrimp ring.
We were about to leave when we passed the Timex watches, which were on my husband’s shopping list. He wanted a new watch that he could wear at work, so we ended up putting the speaker and game back and getting the watch instead. Timex makes durable watches that he can wear both at work and at home, and at the rollback price of $39 he couldn’t go wrong.
I still need to do my Holiday grocery shopping, but that can be a Walmart trip for this week! I already have my list started!
