Holiday shopping can be nerve wracking for type A personalities like myself. I want gifts that people will love, but I have a very practical side that is always thinking about functionality and cost. I also worry about things like space. It’s not always good to get an awesome gift if there’s no place to store it. With all of this in mind, I torture myself over what to get for everyone!
I have always known that Lena from Listen to Lena is a smart shopper, but her shopping savvy reached a new level last week when she invited a group of mothers and influencers to her home for dinner, drinks and a look at some Fisher Price toys. It was a fabulous break from my regular routine and I really enjoyed getting to spend time in person with all of these amazing women. Lena has a beautiful home and she knows how to treat her guests. We enjoyed some champagne and hors d’oeuvres before dinner, but the best part was the great company and conversation.
After an incredible dinner catered by L-eat Catering, we gathered in the living room and took a look at this year’s line of Fisher Price toys for baby. Products for babies have come a long way in the last seven years since I had my last little angel, and I’m so glad to learn about the new products on the market. Our family is growing steadily with new nieces and nephews and now I can be confident in my choices for them.
I love the new Smart Stages toys that grow with your child. They ensure that your child is learning through play with toys that are right for his or her age and ability, and they last a long time. I was lucky enough to go home with the Laugh and Learn Smart Stages Learning Mower. It features a number slider, a turn gas cap, a pull lever, and a light up face to engage and teach baby through creative role play. I have a little niece who is going to love this!
The Kick and Play Piano Gym also came home with me. It is going to encourage my little great-nephew to kick and reach, and it will be excellent for tummy time play. It is important for little babies to learn to spend some time being entertained out of their mothers’ arms, and this is a great tool for that.
I discovered many top of the line baby toys at Lena’s home, and I also discovered a fantastic way to do my shopping! From now on, it’s drinks and dinner followed by some product explanations. I hope Lena is up to being the hostess more often, because I can’t imagine anyone else pulling it off as well as she did. Now I just need to go purchase the toys that I added to my list that night!
