Making School Mornings Run Well

School starts in one week and the preparations are definitely under way. We have been shopping for school supplies and fall clothes, and by the look of the parking lots and stores, everyone else is too. We are getting the kids to bed earlier again and preparing for early mornings and school lunches. The haircuts are scheduled and the new backpacks are ready to go. Aside from making school lunches, one of the biggest complaints I hear from my friends about the school year is dealing with school mornings. Disney Bounding: Merida

Walt Disney World is one of my favourite places on the planet. If I could, I would be there every weekend. Our desire to keep the germs at bay instantly became a necessity. One of the tools in our germ fighting arsenal is Purell hand sanitizer. The kids each have a small bottle attached to their backpacks...

Hot Wheels goes hand in hand with learning

I’m gearing up for a year of homeschooling one child while helping the other two continue their learning at school. My youngest son doesn’t enjoy school as much as I wish he would, and we need to look for creative ways to help him learn. He enjoys playing with cars and Hot Wheels tracks, so I was pleased to learn about the Hot Wheels FUNdamental Learning Program. There are a variety of fun activities for children to keep learning while they are at home. They can learn about patterns in the lesson above, which also includes pages of cars ready to be...
