If you are at all concerned about the future of our planet, you are probably taking steps to conserve it. We recycle, grow vegetables, use energy efficient lightbulbs and buy organic food. Most of the time I do my wash in cold water too but until now I have not made the switch to a bio-based detergent. The reason is simple. I want clean clothing. I believe that washing things fewer times conserves energy and many bio-based detergents just don’t have the cleaning power to make that happen. I am a long time supporter and customer of Tide because it does a great job and preserves the life of your clothing. Now Tide is taking an important step toward a more sustainable future with Tide purclean™- the first bio-based detergent with the cleaning power of Tide.
Tide purclean™ is 65% bio-based, as certified by USDA BioPreferred Program. Its outstanding stain removal, brightening power, colour-care and its efficiency in energy-saving cold water, allows Tide purclean to clean as well as Tide Original Laundry Detergent.
I wanted to put Tide purclean to the same test as I did with Tide in the past. I took one of the white t-shirts that I had on hand and did the ketchup test. In keeping with the same parameters as I did in the past, I treated the ketchup stain baby putting Tide purclean directly onto the stain (not shown in video), rubbed it in and let it sit for about ten minutes before adding it to the warm water wash. You can see the results in the video below.
Tide purclean is available in an unscented version as well as Honey Lavender scent. I have been using the unscented version but Iook forward to trying the lavender scent. You can purchase Tide purclean at retailers across Canada and you can use this COUPON to save.
