The recurring theme of armageddon or the end of times has come to the surface again with the mysterious discovery of dead birds and fish by the thousands. The first reports were of dead birds showing up all over Arkansas. There are theories that fireworks somehow caused the deaths, but that seems far fetched. They discuss the possibility that there is some truth to a Mayan prophecy that the world will come to an end in 2012, but I have my doubts. Not because I don't believe that the world … [Read more...] about Dead birds, dead fish….what is going on?

I was always the skinny girl growing up. Before I had children, I had never worn bigger than a size 1, and even after one child I kept a nice figure and was happy around 110 lbs. Baby #1 didn't earn me stretch marks or big hips, and the only lasting effects, aside from Eric who has been an 18 year side effect so far, was that I earned a letter while bra shopping (A is the best, right?). This is my skinny little butt about 16 years ago while I was in Florida. I would show more recent, but … [Read more...] about It’s time to lose some weight!

As I have said before, we love Mattel in this house. The toy section is my favourite part of the department store. Thank goodness I have four kids to make it look like I'm there for them! Even though I was a tom boy, I still enjoyed playing with Barbie as a kid. I actually had several Ken dolls, while my sister seemed to have all of the pretty Barbies, but I think that was my preference. We are also huge fans of Toy Story! The first Toy Story was the first movie Eric ever saw in the … [Read more...] about Mattel Ken and Barbie from Toy Story 3
Mattel is a well known name is my house. With four children, we have collected our fair share of Mattel toys, and we continue to buy them because they make good quality toys. Hot Wheels cars have been in my life for all of my 38 years! With two daughters, my Dad had teach us to love cars in order for him to be able to buy them, so we all had a great collection of hot wheels, including the original Dukes of Hazard set! Some of my collection came with me when I moved out, and was passed on … [Read more...] about Mattel Toys – Hot Wheels Custom Motors
So we didn't make it to midnight last night. Tired children are silly children, and silly children are loud children. We counted down the New Year at 10 pm and ushered them off to bed. I was in bed by 10:15 pm. Since I wasn't awake at midnight, I will say Happy New Year today! I'm not one to make New Year's resolutions, mainly due to the fact that I know I won't keep them. Diets and clean houses sound great on January 1st, but by Jan. 2nd, I am indulging in chocolate and ignoring the … [Read more...] about The obligatory New Year’s post…
