As a Mom to three boys and one girl, I appreciate a store that offers a nice variety of quality clothing for boys and girls…and The Children’s Place is just that store. I have always been a fan of the store, and even more since my brood grew from one to four. Last week, I had the pleasure of traveling to Toronto with my friend Pam from Country Mouse City Mouse to do some shopping at The Children’s Place.
We were given a store tour and had a chance to see some of the season’s great finds, including the adorable holiday dresses seen above and these fun Justin Bieber shirts that I know my daughter will be disappointed I didn’t buy. I love the jean jacket too. It takes me back to my teen years when denim jackets were “in” … everything old is new again.
The Children’s Place always has a good selection of long sleeved tees and fleece for the winter. The sales are generally great too, and I managed to pick up two shirts and one pair of pants for all three of the younger kids (poor Eric has long passed the kids’ sizes) for just over $100! That’s another reason I love shopping there, a little goes a long way.
It can sometimes be difficult to find really nice clothes for boys, but not at The Children’s Place! I love how they show the layering that is so popular right now, and denim is always a hit. I bought a pair of the jeans shown in the picture below, and my son loves them. He said he likes how they look faded and they fit really nice too.
My daughter is very thin, and she’s fairly tall, so skinny jeans (or jeggings, in this case) are perfect for her. She doesn’t spend her day hiking them up, and she doesn’t have to pull the elastic waist bands so far that the fabric is all bunched up. These are going to look really cute in the winter when she has her boots over them! I picked up a couple of long sleeve tees too, since they are always a good choice.
For Griffin, I found some adorable plaid jammy bottoms. That boy would never get out of his pajamas if I allowed it, and he thinks the new jammies are perfect, especially since they have pockets! I also found a thermal shirt and a long sleeve tee for him.
Like I said above, Kellen loves the jeans I chose for him. I also chose a long sleeve tee and a sweatshirt for him. I didn’t know if he would like the sweatshirt, since it’s not something he normally wears, but he put it on right away and I had to threaten him to get him to take it off. It was a hit! I will have to go back to The Children’s Place and get him a couple more sweatshirts.
I loved all of the winter coats, hats and mitts that were available too. I didn’t want to go overboard, so I limited myself to the outfits I chose, but I will be making another trip to The Children’s Place to get some of the hats and mitts. They are perfect for the stocking!
