Last week we packed up the kids and headed to the IMAX to see Journey 2: The Mysterious Island in 3D. And I’m so glad we did!
This movie had the perfect mix of humour and excitement for a family film. My nine year old kept leaning over and saying “This is the best movie EVER!”. I liked it a lot, but I wouldn’t put it at the top of my list…but I’m not a 9 year old boy either. He thought that the pilot in the movie (Luis Guzmán) was hilarious, and he really was.
My daughter also enjoyed the movie, for the funny parts, and for the little romance that was going on throughout the film. My four year old screamed out loud during one startling part, but insists he loved the movie, especially because of the tiny elephants.
Overall, we thought it was a great family film. Here is a trailer, in case you haven’t see one yet…
