My son and I had the privilege of visiting the Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort on our recent trip to California. The resort is right on the beach, and offers a variety of daily activities, and they have many items available to sign out including pool noodles, boogie boards, beach toys, beach chairs and beach umbrellas. At the resort, there were video games that my son enjoyed, and a ping pong table where he played for the first time. The pool was his favourite spot at the resort though, and we spent a lot of time there. There is a gorgeous green area at the resort, complete with fire pits and a hot tub just for adults (there is a family spa next to the pool). The beach access was through the back of the green space, and it takes you to a beautiful spot on the beach where we saw dolphins and discovered sand crabs.
In our room, we had comfortable beds and pillows, a fridge, a microwave and a Keurig coffee maker! My morning coffee is important to me, so I really appreciated the Keurig. There was also free coffee available in the lobby every morning, and I took advantage of this too! Around the resort are shops and cafes so you can get whatever you need.
