Kindness and sharing are two traits that I think every parent wants to see in their children, but when you have several children who tend to fight and no want to share their toys, we start to wonder if those character traits are really being developed! Of course it’s normal for siblings to fight and while they may not want to share with each other, I am happy to say that my children do love to share with their friends. Every time we get a box of Kinder Eggs into our house it is gone within days because my kids take them outside and hand them out to their friends.
At Christmastime I want my children to remember those people who are less fortunate. While we may not have a huge income, we are very fortunate that I have this blog as a means to provide us a great Christmas. This year, you may have noticed that I am not doing reviews of Christmas items. I have shared some product information and listed items on my gift guide, but I made arrangements with brands to not review their products so that they could remain in the packaging. This allows us to use some of the items as gifts, and it also created a perfect opportunity for sharing. I have been carefully stacking up items and assigning things to people who I know could use them. Before Christmas, we are going to deliver the toys to the people I have in mind, as a Christmas surprise. I think this will be a fun project for my kids and I’m really excited to do it with them.
KINDER Canada is giving back this year too, and they are very proud to support the Children’s Miracle Network, through the ‘A Joy To Share’ program. Please watch and “share” the video below with your friends and family to help encourage donations to the Children’s Miracle Network. For every share of the video, Kinder will donate $1 to the Children’s Miracle Network, up to $5,000.
How are you spreading the sharing message this year?
