My kitchen is a little brighter these days, because it has a KitchenAid Architect Series Raspberry Ice stand mixer in it! This gorgeous stand mixer is one of the pink products that KitchenAid sells to raise money for the Canadian Breast Cancer Association. It is also a great tool for anyone who enjoys cooking.
This mixer is all metal construction and has ten speed slide controls ranging from a very fast whip to a very slow stir. It comes with a 5 quart glass bowl and three metal attachments: a dough hook, a flat beater and a wire whip.
I had no idea who much I would enjoy using a KitchenAid mixer. Instead of pulling out bowls and a hand mixer and a whisk, I just put my ingredients together in the glass bowl and let the mixer do the work. We have had it for a few days and we have already made bread, cookies and pie using it. I can’t wait to whip up some mashed potatoes in it because I hear it does a fantastic job on them. The attachments and the bowl are really easy to clean as well. I also like that it doesn’t make a lot of noise while operating. You can hear it running in the video below.
There are a lot of options for attachments on this mixer. I’ve already made a list of attachments that I want to get:
- the ice cream maker
- citrus juicer
- pasta press
- roto slicer with shredder
I’m sure there will be more I add to the list, but for now…those ones are on my wish list. I had no idea how versatile the KitchenAid mixers are until I started looking at all of these attachments. I can’t wait to start taking advantage of all of the attachments and possibilities!
