I have always loved to read. I can’t remember a time that I didn’t enjoy losing myself into the pages of a great novel, and I love seeing my children embrace books too. My oldest son found his love of books in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series, so those stories will always hold a special place in my heart. My second son preferred to read books about history or phenomenons than novels, until he discovered the Hunger Games trilogy. I love to read the classics with the kids, and Peter Pan is one that we all love. It helps to have a fantastic movie to watch after we read the stories, which also makes Peter Pan a favourite.
If you haven’t had a chance to see Peter Pan, the Disney classic feature film, you will when it premieres Saturday November 23rd at 6pm EST. We will be watching! It’s not only a great story to read or watch, it’s also a fun way to help your children develop their imaginations.
If you love the classics, you may be a fan of Beauty and the Beast. Belle from Beauty and the Beast is making a special guest appearance on Sofia the First in a special episode on Sunday November 10th at 11:30am. Viewers receive 25 bonus entries in Disney Junior’s Princesses & Heroes contest by catching the Bonus Code, which will appear during the special episode! Enter it right after the premiere by clicking here.
You can also tune into Strawberry Shortcake’s Berry Bitty Adventures every Sunday at 5:30pm EST. The new episodes of Strawberry Shortcake’s Berry Bitty Adventures focus on the delightfully quirky community of Berry Bitty City, a miniature town tucked into a strawberry patch. It is home to Strawberry Shortcake and her six friends, all nine years old and 2 inches tall. The Strawberry Shortcake series teaches social and emotional lessons for young fans.
I loved Strawberry Shortcake when I was a child and it is fun to share that with my daughter now. Do you have any shows that remind you of your childhood?
