When you look through our photo albums you will see very little evidence of me. The kids ooh and aah at how different and young Daddy looked and how their big brother has changed over the years, but there’s almost no record of me even being in their lives. So why is that? The truthful answer is that I chose for it to be that way. I don’t like to see myself in pictures so I grab the camera and do the shooting, but I do want my kids to be able to remember me being an active participant in all of these moments we’ve captured, so it’s time to get back in the picture. I’m starting with a #covermoment.
So what is a #covermoment?

My #covermoment was taken as I was getting ready to go pick the kids up from school. I put on my Covergirl makeup, which is not the norm for me, got on my scarf and hat and realized…I look pretty good. I’m terrible for seeing my own flaws and I can point them all out to you, but I’m not going to. I’m going to say I look good in the picture and I will make sure to be in more of them, and not just when I’m holding the camera.
