Remember the days of 12″ black and white televisions that had three channels, and you actually had to get up to change the channel? It sounds absurd to me, and I lived it. It’s a different world today and your choice of entertainment is only a couple of clicks away.
My family has been enjoying Netlix programming for a few years. There are television series for all ages and preferences, and the movie selection is excellent too. I love the family accounts that show programming geared towards each person, and I especially like that the children’s accounts are limited to children’s programming.
There are some great movies available to kids this month and we have definitely been taking advantage of them! I have had children home sick pretty often this month and I like that I can keep them relaxed and occupied watching Netflix so I can still work from home while keeping an eye on them.
Turbo came out this month. We saw it in the theatre and loved it so it was fun to watch it again. It is one of those movies that works for all of my children’s ages, and even the adults in the house like it.
The Croods is another movie we watched in theatres and all enjoyed. It’s humourous and teaches some valuable life lessons, so who wouldn’t love that?
My pre-teen son still enjoys animated films but he also likes movies that are a little more mature too. My husband knew that he would enjoy National Treasure, and he was right. It is one that I always liked too, so it’s nice to share it with my kids as they get older.
My daughter has been reading Judy Moody books for quite some time and I knew she would enjoy the movie. She has watched it in her room on the ipad, which is nice since the boys aren’t as interested in watching it. That’s one of the things I really like about Netflix, it can be watched on the tablets, ipods, televisions and even smartphones!
There is no limit to what you and your family can watch on Netflix. You can view everything they have to offer on www.netflix.com. Now I’m off to watch Downton Abbey, my Netflix favourite.
