It’s summertime and the kids are missing their friends. We can bring them together with a fun activity though, and that’s exactly what we did at my house when we held a DohVinci party!
DohVinci is a fantastic new craft product from the makers of Play-Doh. To create with DohVinci you simply choose your favourite colour of deco pop, slide it into the styler and you are ready to create! Using the different styler design tips or without, you can create fun designs on any canvas that you choose.
For our party, each guest received a DohVinci Deluxe Styler Kit and two Deco Pop sets with different colours in them. They also chose a craft item from several we had on the table.
It was a beautiful day so we set up out back and everyone got to work. Avery chose to decorate a wooden Welcome sign while her friends chose wooden picture frames, a treasure chest and some flower pots. First we practiced on paper and once the girls felt ready, they put their skills to work.
They really enjoyed creating with DohVinci. All of the girls were already familiar with the product so it didn’t take a lot of explanation. They each did a great job and made unique creations. I was surprised at how much time went by because everyone was so invested in what they were doing. I think they ended up with some really amazing creations!
The girls were all excited to take their DohVinci kits home so they could make some more fun creations too. The girl weren’t the only ones who enjoyed creating with DohVinci. When our party supplies arrived we decided to give it a try, and Griffin thought it was pretty cool. He found a cardboard box to create with, and did his own unique design.
One of the things we were sent was a DohVinci Style & Store Vanity Design Kit. Avery loved this and couldn’t wait to get started on it. She learned how to use the styler as she went, and she ended up with a great vanity for her room.
