Keeping the Kids Out of the Dentist Chair with Sonicare #sonicareforkids

sonicareI have paid more than my share of dental bills over the years, so I’ll do just about anything to encourage my children to take good care of their teeth. A good electric toothbrush is one of the easiest ways to ensure their teeth get a proper cleaning. They are 75% more effective than manual toothbrushes, and that means fewer dentist bills!

The Philips Sonicare for Kids is an electric power toothbrush for kids aged 4 and older. This particular electric toothbrush is ideal for children. It not only has the ideal brush size for children, but the kids can choose from eight different sticker designs to make the brush their own.

The Philips Sonicare for Kids is a lot more than a cute electric toothbrush. It is designed with an easy grip handle so that children can easily hold onto it. It can sit upright both on or off of the recharging base, and also sits flat on the counter so that kids can easily put toothpaste on the brush without it rolling over.

The brush has a musical timer to alert kids that it is time to move to the next quarter of their mouths, to ensure they get their teeth and mouths cleaned properly. To help kids get used to brushing for the right amount of time, the brush gradually increases the power over the first 14 brushings until it reaches the appropriate two minutes (when set to high mode) of brushing time. That is a great way to help kids ease into the habit! For children who need a little more encouragement, you can set the brush to low mode and they will be alerted to brush for one minute.

Avery has great dental hygiene and she was happy to have this new brush to use. She particularly liked that she could choose how to decorate her brush with the stickers provided. Her younger brother is a little less enthusiastic about caring for his teeth and he wasn’t at all interested in a new toothbrush, until he saw the options for decorating it. He really liked the surfboard sticker and vowed to use this brush if I get one for him. I will absolutely try because he can use all of the help he can get!

Overall I am very pleased with the Philips Sonicare for Kids. It is fun to use and gives a thorough cleaning. It is priced reasonably and will save countless dental bills in the future!

This toothbrush is awesome! I love the timer, we sing peanut butter jelly , or do you know the muffin man, but when she gets older this is a great way to make sure that she is brushing her teeth properly.
