My first job was in a tiny one screen movie theatre. We ran two movies a night at 7pm and 9pm and matinees on the weekends. I had always been a fan of the movies, but working there brought it to a whole new level. I was able to see all of the movies for free, and I could see them over and over again. I still love to go to the movies, but I like to watch them at home as well. I enjoy seeing a movie more than once, and I love to share my favourite movies with family and friends. There are some movies that I just can’t see at the theatre at all because I know I will cry like a baby and don’t want to be caught doing that in the theatre! Now movie rentals are more convenient than ever, thanks to Redbox!
Redbox is Canada’s largest DVD “rentailer” with more than 1,350 automated kiosks across all 10 provinces. Redbox, founded in the United States in 2002, installed its first Canadian kiosks outside of Vancouver in May 2012. Today, Redbox kiosks can be found across Canada. You can find the nearest Redbox location online at www.redbox.ca/locations. It’s also easy to reserve a movie online at www.redbox.ca.
I was browsing the movies available and immediately saw several that I would like to rent. I haven’t seen “The Fault In Our Stars” yet, since it falls into the “cry like a baby” category and that’s definitely one that I would like to watch when I am all alone. I saw other great new releases listed like “Draft Day”, “Transformers: Age of Extinction” and “The Other Woman”. Right now customers in Canada can get any of these movies free!
To receive a free one-night DVD rental on Thursdays in October (Oct. 9, 16, 23 or 30), all you need to do is visit a Redbox kiosk, enter the promo code THURSDAY at checkout and swipe a valid credit card to cover any additional nights you hold onto the DVD. If you return your DVD by 9 p.m. local time the next day, there won’t be a charge. Enter your email at checkout to be sent a receipt.
One of my lucky readers can win 52 free movie rentals from Redbox! There are more chances to win at the #RedboxCanada Twitter Party too!
