Apple Mango Smoothies to Start the Day #‎ONatural‬

•

Most mornings I jump out of bed, wake the kids and dive right into the tasks for the day. Lunches are made, backpacks are packed, hair and teeth get brushed (and mine too if I find the time) and the kids and I walk to school, time allowing. I don’t even think about having breakfast or coffee until I get back home, and then my mind has usually moved on to all of the other things I need to get done that day. One way I’ve found to have a healthy breakfast without wasting precious time is to make an apple mango smoothie with Orange Naturals ND Shake Mix.

I enjoy the vanilla flavoured ND Shake Mix but I prefer to put it in the blender with some fruit and vegetables. My smoothie recipes vary from day to day, depending on what I have available to me, but I always keep some frozen fruit in the freezer at all times. The recipe below is an easy smoothie recipe that gives me a little boost in the morning and prevents me from snacking all morning.

There are many variations of this smoothie that you can try. Frozen strawberries are always delicious, and blueberries, raspberries and banana also make great fruit smoothies. I enjoy many vegetables in my smoothies as well. Cucumber adds a fresh flavour to any smoothie and kale and spinach give a rich green colour that tastes great.

The ND Shake Mix is the perfect addition to any smoothie. It is customized for the needs of men, women, teens and children. The women’s blend, which I use, combines a professionally formulated women’s multivitamin with a blend of 18g plant protein, greens, superfruits and fibre, plus nutrients specific to women’s health such as cinnamon for blood sugar balance, calcium for bone health and cranberry for a healthy urinary tract.

How do you get a good breakfast on a busy day?

I love smoothies to start my day. Unfortunately, my blender has up and died on me, and my hand mixer just doesn’t quite cut it. I may hve to go buy myself an early Christmas present as I am missing my smoothies.

I love that the ND shake mix can be added to any drinks. It’s a great way to get the kids to drink something healthy and they don’t know it.

A good breakfast on a busy day isn’t easy but I try to eat a bowl of cereal quickly before heading out.

Sounds delicious! For a while, I was making smoothies daily for breakfast and/or lunch. I haven’t been lately, but I find I don’t feel as energized now that I don’t… so back to it!

Frozen Pomegranate seeds, that’s a brilliant idea. I have always used fresh and I keep it in the fridge for a couple of days. I should prepare a whole of seeds and use them as needed. Thanks for the heads up.
