Preparing for a new baby is a daunting task. Everyone has advice and ideas about what you should and should not buy, and there are so many different kinds of every baby item. When I was pregnant with my first child over twenty two years ago things were a little simpler because there weren’t anywhere near as many options available. I waited eleven years to have a second child and what I found was a whole new world of baby gear. My parents and in-laws offered advice, and of course I had my own parenting experience to go by, but things change so much over the years that I really needed advice from someone who had current expertise. One of my biggest concerns was finding bottles that worked well for nursing babies. I wanted to breastfeed but I also wanted to have the freedom to be away from the baby if I needed to be, and my husband wanted to feed the baby too. There were so many options and we ended up buying so many different bottles before we found the ones that worked for us.
Walmart recognizes what an overwhelming time this can be for future parents so they developed a system to help parents find the products they need. On Tuesdays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at select stores, shoppers can look for in-store specialists at the “Let’s Talk Baby” kiosk. These specialists will be able to provide customers with product information to help them make informed purchases. Specialists will be equipped with tablets for easy access to the baby registry and Walmart.ca, so you can also create your registry while you learn about the essentials for your new family. What a great service for new parents!
