Teens are Expensive, but a PC Insiders Subscription Helps

By Sheri

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of President’s Choice Services Inc. All opinions are 100% mine.

Living in a house with two adults, two teenagers, a tween and a dog… it gets expensive. A day rarely goes by that we aren’t running to the grocery store to pick up milk or another box of cereal. My husband and I take bets on how long the lunch snacks will last. We run out of shampoo, conditioner and body wash so often that I sometimes wonder if there’s another family living here without my knowledge. With everything being consumed so fast, we try to find ways to save money or earn rewards. That’s why we subscribed to PC Insiders. You can try your first month free on a monthly subscription and see how it helps your family by using the promo code 1MONTHFREE at pcinsiders.ca. (Offer excludes Quebec residents; terms and conditions apply).

PC Insiders Subscription

The thing that I found most appealing about the PC Insiders  program was the 20% back in PC Optimum points on select brands. Since we do most of our shopping at our local Your Independent Grocer store, this program is a great fit for our needs. However, that isn’t the only benefit that I’ve found since joining. The free shipping on items like Joe Fresh® products from joefresh.com is a huge bonus. We like the price and quality of Joe Fresh clothing and saving on shipping is just the icing on the cake.

Another thing I find we purchase a lot lately is makeup and beauty supplies. All of the videos online teaching teenagers how to do makeup has an impact on the wallet! I’ve found shoppersdrugmart.ca to be a good place to buy these things because they have a huge selection and their prices are better than most. The PC Optimum points don’t hurt either. With the PC Insiders subscription, we can get free shipping on our Beauty Boutique Luxury Beauty purchases at shoppersdrugmart.ca.

Free Grocery Pick-up

With our subscription, we can also get free grocery pick-up through the PC Express website. I’ve never used this service because I enjoy my time in the grocery store. Since I work from home, getting out of the house and around some other adults is nice, even if I’m just picking up necessities. However, I like that this is an option and there may come a day when I’m in a hurry and decide to try ordering my groceries online. Maybe there will be a day that I don’t feel like getting dressed and go pick up my groceries in my pajamas. That actually sounds pretty good to me and now I’m reconsidering ordering my groceries…

The Perks

As you well know, I love to travel. When you join the PC Insiders annual subscription program, you get a $99 travel credit at pctravel.ca, so basically you get your annual subscription cost put into a travel credit. I can claim it by visiting the pctravel.ca website or calling their travel desk. I’m not sure what I will use it for yet, but I do need to book a flight soon, so that may be my chance.

Even more fun for annual subscribers than the travel credit is a surprise gift. I don’t know what it will be or when I will get it, but I do know that a gift will come to the house at some point, and it will be all mine. How often do moms get a gift for no reason at all? Never. That’s how often. So, I’m eagerly awaiting my gift.

The PC Insiders program is earning us rewards and helping with some of the costs of raising a family. It is exactly what we needed for our large family.
