Finding new recipes that the whole family will eat

•

I am always trying to find ways to feed my kids healthy meals that they will actually eat. If they had their way, they would survive strictly on cereal and macaroni and cheese. While that sounds easy, it probably wouldn’t do much for their health! Since I am trying to lose weight and eat healthier, I am have been looking for new recipes. If you are one of my facebook fans, you have probably seen my requests lately:

Does anyone know any good avocado recipes?

What are you having for dinner today?

No, they aren’t ploys for conversation or ways to avoid doing my actual work…I really do want your input. Today’s status should say “How do you prepare Bok Choy?” because I bought a whole bunch of it and now I have no idea what to do with it. All suggestions are welcome!

Chicken is something that I am preparing more often, and while searching the internet for some new recipes, I found these chicken recipes from Reader’s Digest. There are some great sounding recipes there! I am so tired of eating the same old things all of the time, so I am going to try the Chicken Marsala With Mushrooms. It looks and sounds delicious to me. My kids probably won’t like it, because they don’t like mushrooms, but that’s okay because I found other recipes that they would eat, like the chicken caesar salad or the chicken and potato soup.

Today, however, is a beef day because that is what I had in the freezer. I haven’t found a recipe yet, but I think I will go search for something that has beef and bok choy. Wish me luck!

I think I could survive on macaroni and cheese alone too. 😀 But it’s probably not a good idea!

My husband brought home an eye of round roast today and asked me to make it for dinner. It was an odd impulse purchase, but I have it in the oven.

I have never cooked with bok choy but I know that it is really high in nutrients!

Finding foods the kids will eat that are actually healthy is SUCH a difficult job! Please pass along any good input you get as I could use it too! 🙂
