The LeapPad2 Explorer has maintained all of the great features of the LeapPad1, and it’s made some changes to make it even better! One of the best new features on the LeapPad2 is the front and back cameras. Kids will love the ability to take pictures of themselves and everyone around them, and parents will have fun seeing what they have discovered.
The LeapPad2 has 4 GB of memory and a library of over 325 apps including innovative book apps, videos, music, creativity apps and more! LeapPad2 comes with 5 apps: Pet Pad, LeapFrog Learning Songs, Cartoon Director, Art Studio and one app of your choice, and you can use all of your LeapPad cartridges and apps on the new LeapPad too!
Other features of the LeapPad2 Explorer include a brilliant 5″ touch screen, a built in microphone and a faster processor than the previous LeapPad. The LeapPad2 draws from more than 2500 skills in subjects like reading, art, music, language and culture, science, geography, mathematics and health and it automatically adjusts the learning to each and every child, asking more challenging questions as children’s skills develop. Progress is remembered from game to game so the learning and fun keep moving forward!
I love that parents can connect to the free, online LeapFrog Learning Path to see specific details of their child’s learning progress and share achievements and artwork with family and friends. It’s my own little sneak peek into what the kids are doing and what things we should be working on more.
For children who love technology and parents who love to see their children learning during play, the LeapPad2 Explorer is the perfect gift. It has a lot of great accessories like cases, headphones and car chargers too. I think it is perfect for families like ours who love to travel. The kids won’t be bored on a long trip, and we know that they are developing their skills while playing.
