About the PenAgain

When you first use the PenAgain™, you’ll immediately notice how different it feels from other pens. This is a natural feeling because your hand is trying to unlearn a lifetime of poor writing habits. It’s not your fault.
Until now, pens have typically been designed with only two things in mind: money and manufacturability. But the PenAgain’s primary focus is comfort.
The human hand dictates the design. Even though it may feel strange, try to resist the urge to grip the pen with your fingers. Just let your hand relax, and let the weight of your hand hold the pen in place. You’ll feel tension of writing melt away.

The PenAgains are very pleasing to the eye and are guaranteed to be the most unique gift you have ever bought for yourself or for a loved one.
Just see what happens when you use one at your next group meeting, sitting in class or even signing your credit card slip at the store. It starts with its a puzzled look, then a request to hold it, then the inevitable “Where can I get one of these?”
Be prepared to let others try it, they will demand it! Also another bit of advice; keep an eye on it at work, they have been known to dissappear suddenly.

My Thoughts
I have children who are in the early elementary grades, so I was interested in getting them to try these pens and pencils to see if they could adjust their grips and learn to hold them properly. They both adjusted very quickly and really like their pencils. At first, Avery was wrapping her thumb around the front of the pencil and not holding it properly, but she figured it out and now holds it right. I have noticed she has a better hold on straight pens and pencils too.
I also received the ergo sleek pen shown above. I like this pen. It is a really nice looking pen, it has weight to it, and it comes with a cool little stand and two extra ink refills. Unfortunately for me, I slipped on the ice and smacked my hand pretty good right before the pen arrived, and several weeks later I am still not able to properly hold a pen (or scissors, or several other things, but that’s another post). Realizing that I wasn’t going to be able to test the Ergo Sleek pen, I begrudgingly handed it over to my husband. He likes the look and weight of the pen as well. It took him some time to adjust to holding the pen, since it isn’t what he is used to, but he has adjusted and I’ve seen him using it several times.
I think these are excellent tools for teaching children and adults to hold writing utensils the proper way.
