When I saw the first Monsters Inc. movie I was pregnant and tired and fell asleep halfway through the movie. I enjoyed what I had seen and wanted to see the whole movie, so I dragged my son (no dragging was actually necessary) back to the theatre to see it again. And I fell asleep again. Pregnancy fail! I finally did get to see the whole thing when we purchased it and it has been household favourite ever since.
Monsters University holds an ever more special place in my heart because I first saw it at Disney World during the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration…two months before it opened to the public! My daughter and I were so excited to get this special sneak peek and we were not disappointed. There’s something really magical about watching a Disney movie in a Disney theatre. People clap and get really involved in the movie, and I’m so glad we got to experience it.
Of course we wanted to share our excitement with the whole family, so we saw Monsters University again when it came out in theatres, and I even found the adorable cupcakes above at our local grocery store so we could get into the Monster spirit! They all loved the movie of course, and they are anxiously awaiting it’s blu-ray release.
