We have been enjoying watching the Olympic games as a family this year. I find the Olympic athletes so inspiring and I think my children are inspired by them too. It’s fun to talk about athletes like Tessa and Scott who live so close to us because it makes the kids realize that the athletes are regular people just like us, and with some hard work anyone can achieve their dreams. I’m not assuming that my children will become Olympic athletes (but I’m not saying they won’t either), but I love that they realize the possibilities.

    I was just checking out your ‘Candy Recipe: Chocolate Truffles’, and I’d like to say that I think they look great… maybe not perfect, but that is what makes them special – not just bought. I’m thinking I’d like to try making a batch with only half of them the peppermint and then add orange extract to the other half. Christmas might be over but I can eat truffles all year!
