Spring Into Shape

•

So today is Day One of Spring into Shape, and I started today off with a couple of simple things to get myself headed in the right direction…

First off, I drank my water. I like water a lot, so it shouldn’t be a hard thing to do, but I like coffee and pepsi too, and they seem to win most of the time…but not today! I have had my 6 glasses of water already, and I didn’t do great on meals, but not awful either. I had cereal for breakfast, for lunch I had gluten free crackers with cheese and salsa, and for supper we had pasta…I know, that’s not the best choice but I’m being real, lol.

I have had a little set back in my fitness routine. My gym membership expired, and my husband is currently laid off so I can’t justify the expense. I was feeling a little discouraged about it, but then I decided it is a good opportunity to look at activities we can do without going to the gym. I started by doing my Kinect Shape Up fitness routine. I only managed for 15 minutes because I’m totally out of shape and that is a tough workout! Later in the day, I walked to the kids’ school to pick them up. It’s not far, but it’s about a 10 minute walk uphill and of course a little faster coming home because it’s all down hill!

Good start! Keep at it and you’ll reach your goals soon. I also had pasta for dinner — I don’t think much of it. As long as it’s a reasonable amount I think it’s ok.
