My husband and I brought home our shih-poo, Leaf, nearly 13 years ago when I was expecting my daughter and caring for a toddler and a pre-teen. We chose him because he is one of the breeds that are considered hypo-allergenic but also because he's a small dog. With young children in the house, it was important to me that they weren't be knocked down by their dog. I wanted my 12 year old son to be able to walk him easily, and I wanted smaller messes in the yard than we would get with a big … [Read more...] about Win a prize pack for your small dog #SpringForSmallDogs
Our dog, Leaf, joined our family in December 2003 when he was just a puppy. He became a quick companion for my sons Eric and Kellen, and a few months later he welcomed Avery into the family. I also would love to share with the readers about the many projects that ARF is a part of that go well beyond basic rescue and adoption. So after a lot of mulling and no doubt a fair amount of procrastination, I settled on writing the story … [Read more...] about ARF Ontario: A Home for Skipper
