This layered salad is perfect for holiday dinners.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups chopped iceberg lettuce
  • 12 hard boiled eggs
  • 2 cups frozen peas
  • 1 package bacon
  • 2.5 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 2.5 cups mayonnaise
  • 25 ml sugar
  • 2-3 green onions
  • salt
  • pepper
  • paprika

Instructions

  1. Allow the frozen peas to thaw in a bowl. Set aside.
  2. Cook bacon crisp and then crumble or cut into bite size pieces. Allow to cool.
  3. Mix mayonnaise and sugar in a bowl.
  4. Chop the green onions as garnish.
  5. Layer the following:
  6. Half of the iceberg lettuce, followed by a sprinkling of salt and pepper
  7. Sliced hard boiled eggs; followed by a sprinkling of salt and pepper
  8. Peas
  9. Half of the iceberg lettuce, followed by a sprinkling of salt and pepper
  10. Bacon
  11. Grated cheddar cheese.
  12. Mayo and sugar mixture, spread evenly over salad.
  13. Top with chopped green onion and paprika.
