As I have said before, we love Mattel in this house. The toy section is my favourite part of the department store. Thank goodness I have four kids to make it look like I’m there for them! Even though I was a tom boy, I still enjoyed playing with Barbie as a kid. I actually had several Ken dolls, while my sister seemed to have all of the pretty Barbies, but I think that was my preference.
We are also huge fans of Toy Story! The first Toy Story was the first movie Eric ever saw in the theatre, and the family has enjoyed each of the Toy Story movies as they have been released. We saw Toy Story 3 at the theatre as a family, and we were all amused by the antics of Ken and Barbie. Avery had been eyeing the Toy Story Barbie doll before ever seeing the movie, and we first saw the set with Ken and Barbie after we had seen the movie…she really wanted that set!
Avery was so excited when the set arrived for us to review. It fit right in too, since Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie, Mr. Potato Head and RC already live here! Ken is wearing his signature ascot, and Barbie’s perfect body is being showcased in the super tight leotard. Avery loves her legwarmers, and unfortunately seems to think it’s fun to make Ken’s pants fall off :S
Ken and Barbie are now happily living in Barbie’s beautiful three story home, located in Avery’s bedroom. It’s not Ken’s dream house, like the movie, but it’s still some pretty nice digs.
