MY THOUGHTS
I don’t use credit cards, and when we made the decision to go without, I didn’t really think about all of the times that a credit card is actually needed. I have purchased other pre-paid credit cards but I found that they were somewhat limited as to what I could use them for, because they didn’t have the expiry date or CVV code on the back. When I heard about 3V Visa, I was hopeful that this is something that would work for me.
I received a $30 3V Visa Voucher and followed the instructions above to do some shopping. Activating the card was so easy, and my expiry date and CVV were emailed to me instantly. I have read other people’s accounts of using 3V Visa for online shopping, so I knew that it works really well for that purpose. What I wondered though, is if I could use it to pay a bill online?
I logged into one of my regular monthly bills online, and chose “pay by credit card”. Everything worked exactly like paying with any other credit card! This is a great find for me. I can pay a bill instantly online, and not worry about the high interest rates of having a credit card.
Since I was given this voucher to try, I hadn’t actually purchased one myself. I know that they can be bought at several retail stores, but I wondered how it worked to buy one online. I was a little disappointed to see that they don’t accept paypal, but they do accept payment through online banking, which is even better than paypal.
