I found lunch more difficult to choose. I usually just have some leftovers from the fridge for lunch, and I’m embarrassed to admit that I often skip lunch if I’m working over lunch hour, because I never have anything I can take with me. Nutrisystem definitely solved that problem, since all of their meals are quickly and easily prepared, often without a microwave.
There were bars included in the lunch menu that seem more like a dessert than a lunch, but I chose them because…well, they seemed more like dessert 🙂 The double chocolate caramel bar, chocolate raspberry bar and chocolate peanut butter bar were all very good, but seriously didn’t seem like lunch.

Nutrisystem tells you to add two vegetables and a dairy or protein to your lunch, and that was a bit of a challenge for me. Often I’m home alone at lunch time, so I didn’t ever want to cook anything just for me. So if there were no raw vegetables in the house, I would miss that part of the meal. Lucky for me, there is a snack between lunch and dinner, so I would not feel too hungry by supper time.
Some other lunches I enjoyed were the cream of broccoli soup, the cheese tortellini, tomato soup and the cheesy homestyle potatoes. I did not like the fettuccini alfredo, but Griffin did!
