MY THOUGHTS
I love the cartons that Campbell Soup has for their broths. They are so much better than the cans because there is more broth and you can close it up and put it in the fridge if you don’t need all of it. I have liked using the broths for making rice for many years. It adds great flavour to your rice without adding a lot of fat, and now that there is no salt added, the health benefits are even better!
I saw the suggestions for using chicken broth on the Campbell Soup website and decided to give them a try. I didn’t make any stir fry, but I did try adding Campbell’s chicken broth to my vegetables and to my mashed potatoes and both were delicious. I was surprised that I liked it in my potatoes, but it gives a nice flavour and texture to them.
Of course, Campbell’s Chicken Broth is perfect for making soup. The no salt added is great because I find there is already so much salt in the things I am adding to my soup. There is some high blood pressure in my family, and I need to cut back on my salt intake for other health reasons, so I am very glad to find that Campbell’s is thinking about the health of their customers!
