A few weeks ago I started on a campaign to get healthy and fit … and then I failed more miserably than ever before. Life circumstances left me feeling defeated and sad, and I sunk into my big comfy chair and drowned my sorrows with potato chips (ok, I crunched my sorrows). So here I am ten pounds heavier than I was a month ago, still feeling sad and defeated, and now fat too. And I need to do something about it. There is a crazy theory that exercise will help you lose weight, feel healthy and improve your mood. I’m doubtful, but willing to give it a try.
Seriously, I know how beneficial exercise is. When I took part in a regular fitness routine, I was happier, healthier and definitely thinner! I didn’t have back pain or heartburn and working out was a great stress reliever. So why is it so hard to get back to working out? For busy Moms like me, it’s easy to caught up in the kids’ activities and housework and forget to take care of yourself. I can’t get away to the gym so I need to do my exercise at home. Exercise videos haven’t really worked for me because the kids complain that they want the tv, and I get bored of doing the same thing all of the time. I need something customized to me and my needs.
I found these great Exercise Programs at Umbrella Wellness, and I am intrigued. They provide a free consultation over the phone, and then they will create an exercise program for you and email it to you, complete with pictures. They provide follow up phone calls to help keep you accountable and answer any questions you have too! This is great for someone like me who would otherwise return to the chair. I can’t very well crunch potato chips while talking to my own personal fitness counselor on the phone. Their programs are designed by a Kinesiologist, and they offer nutritional counseling as well.
