Feel Confident in Aerin Rose Swimwear

Like many women, I dread having to purchase a swimsuit. There’s nothing that can make me feel worse about my body than trying on swimsuits! As a result, I avoid the task as much as possible and other than swimming lengths in my sport swimsuit, I avoid wearing one and I definitely avoid being seen in a bathing suit in public!

So…when I purchased a ticket to Brandcation I was feeling a little anxious about doing a lot of beach activities where I would not only be in a bathing suit in front of my peers, but I would also be photographed in one. I went out looking for a new swimsuit and tried on dozens of them…and I hated every single one. I have weight to lose, and either I looked pregnant, or too much of my thighs and butt were showing. It did nothing for my self esteem! I was tired of tormenting myself though, so I settled on one that I thought I could tolerate and then bought a cover-up in hopes that I could hide myself that way.

And then, just days before the trip, Aerin Rose sent me a swimsuit I had requested. It came and I thought “I don’t think I can stand to put on another swimsuit” but I went and put it on anyway. I am still overweight and there’s no miracle swimsuit to change that, but I actually felt good in this suit! It has built in tummy control and the way the fabric drapes down the front hides my stomach, and it’s a swimdress, so my butt and thighs are properly hidden. My only problem with the suit is that the smallest cup size is a D, and I am not a D but I requested it anyway. It would have looked better if I filled out the top properly, but I was still very happy with this swimdress. Here is a little information from their website…

We had to put on our bathing suits and run around doing all sorts of funny activities, and I can honestly say that I didn’t spend the whole time stressing about how I looked. This swimdress gave me confidence and I felt good about myself. I didn’t even bother wearing the cover-up for most of the weekend, and I even allowed myself to be photographed (willingly) in my swimsuit while we were tubing…
