Summer Camp Checklist

•

Preparing your child to leave for summer camp is almost as hard as deciding what camp to go to! You don’t want them to be away from home and not have something that they need. I am a list girl, so I use a checklist to make sure everything is packed, and I send the same checklist with my child to make sure it all comes back (not that I believe they actually go through my list with a fine toothed comb…but hopefully it will act as a reminder. I remember the years my teen went to camp. I lovingly prepared all of his stuff, packed snacks, bathroom items in special bags…and it always came back covered in dirt, crumpled up and wet LOL But he had fun, and that’s what matters. Can’t wait for my youngest to be old enough for summer camp!

Great list! Mine still have never gone away to summer camp, but will definitely keep this in mind for the future.

Jake’s never been interested in summer camp. Last year he went to a robotics camp after I begged, lol.

Wow, this is a very thorough list. I remember going to camp as a kid and at first I hated it but by the end of the week I was crying because I didn’t want to go home.
