Everyone keeps asking me how this fan works, and the answer was…I had no idea. I was happy that it blew cool air and that the kids couldn’t lose any fingers while playing around it, but for those who need more information than that, there is an excellent description of how it works on the Dyson website. They say that the Air Multiplier technology used in Dyson fans and heaters draws in air and amplifies it up to 18 times, producing an uninterrupted stream of smooth air. Dyson uses brushless and energy efficient motors in the fans and heaters. It is the same technology used in turbo jets!
The Dyson Air Multiplier comes in the tower fan size I have, as a table fan and as a pedestal fan. The table fans have a really cool tilt function, and all of the Dyson fans are safe and easy to clean.
However it works, the Dyson Tower Fan is a very effective and safe fan. We have central air conditioning in our house, but the upstairs still gets pretty warm, so we are glad to have the tower fan to help keep the kids’ bedrooms cool.
